True Colours by Charles Antony

This Poem was posted by Elaine Hurren a Friend of mine on her Page it was written for her by a Friend a few Years ago but it is beautiful and so true and I wanted to share it on here 

True Colours

If I could paint a picture
to make the pain go away,
Don’t you know that I would
if I could.
If I showed you some colours,
would the hurt disappear?
Don’t you know that I would
if I could.

But the clouds within your landscape
are full of summer rain,
And the tears that brush your pillow
can help to ease the pain,
for the splashes on the paper
are the colours from inside,
but the choice of how to use them
is what we must decide.

If you could paint a picture

If you found your true colours,
would the hurt disappear?

if you could.
